In Memory of Ron Brewer
Ronald L. Brewer of Broomfield, CO, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the age of 85. He leaves behind cherished memories as a loving husband, devoted dad, and proud Papa. Born on November 21, 1940, in Bakersfield, California, to Jay and Elizabeth (Santomauro) Brewer, he was the eldest of three, growing up in California’s San Joaquin and Salinas Valleys. He pursued learning with enthusiasm, graduating from Salinas H.S., Hartnell College, Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo (B.S. Electronic Engineering), and the University of Denver (M.S. Computer Information Systems).

Ron was an accomplished woodworker and carpenter, and played saxophone in multiple dance and concert bands, including the Golden Eagle Concert Band. He led several service organizations throughout his life, including the Broomfield H.S. Band Parents, revived his ham radio station, and was a citizen and true patriot of the utmost caliber, receiving DeMolay’s highest honor, the Degree of Chevalier, and, recently, a DAR award. Above all, Ron was a family man. He and Judi loved spending time at the beach whenever they could, but their greatest joy was time with their grandchildren – attending performances and sports events, and celebrating academic achievements. Always purposeful, positive, determined, analytical, wise, confident, creative, dependable, kind, generous, honest, and strong, he faced every challenge with resolve. As a lifetime blood donor, Ron’s legacy of giving and caring came full circle when he ultimately benefited from the generosity of others like himself. He was the best gift to his family, and his lessons endure.
